Portscatho Oyster Drill Silver

An Oyster Drill shell found on Portcatho, Cornwall.

In the quaint, quiet fishing port of Portscatho, one feels totally at peace.

In its little harbour filled with rustic, painted fishing boats and functional, sea-weed covered fishing equipment, you would not expect to find the incredible treasure trove of shells that lie there, all nestled together in plentiful, majestical piles of beautiful shapes and colours.

The Oyster Drill is normally found near its favourite food, making it a very fitting symbol of Portscatho; a pocket of Cornwall beautifully abundant in Oysters.
